The series, entitled "Superior Minds of Our Day", also featured Nikola Tesla and Oscar Wilde. br>Pall Mall, described as the first "premium" cigarette, had been introduced in 1899 by the Butler & Butler Company in an attempt to cater to the upper class. These trading cards were intended to add to the brand's elevated air.
