POSTCARD: "The Boozer Bus" (Postmarked 1951) ________________________ p>The so-called "Boozer Bus Service" was an attempt by the London council to curb drink driving during the early 1950s. The bus made regular stops outside London's more popular pubs, transporting boozers to central tube stops and bus stations. This postcard was one of several produced by the British government to promote the service.
