OFFICIAL PB MEMBERSHIP CERTIFICATE ca. 1881 ________________________ p>Bank records from 1881 show that Nurse drew funds from his personal account to pay for the printing, transportation and distribution of 15,000 of these ornate parchment certificates. The certificates were given away at PB meetings throughout Wales, Scotland and Britain over the course of the next several years. It is understood that Nurse spent close to a month hand-signing each one.
